How do I know this? Because I have been there and done that.

My Story

"I was a yo-yo dieter, with a circus-worthy repertoire of diets. Sometimes it worked, most times it didn't, and I was always grumpy and miserable when dieting. I had lost hope to say the least."

Seriously, I tried sooooo many diets and when I dieted I stuck to it like sh*t to a blanket. I was ALL in. I honestly would lose very little weight, if any, no matter how strict I was. It was disheartening and down right frustrating to say the least.


But also, no matter how I looked I was NEVER happy with my body. Looking back at photos now - I had an incredible body at times but I distinctly remember still not being happy with my body.

Now, exercise. Oh boy, I was the Energizer Bunny on steroids. I did superhuman workouts to burn calories, boost my metabolism, and chase that elusive "dream body." Three hours of exercise a day? Piece of cake. I was a spinning and gym instructor, so my life was practically an extended gym session. I chased the indoctrinated "calories in vs calories out" theory, not actually realising we are not lab rats in a laboratory, we are humans with emotions and a subconscious.


While I was yo-yo dieting and sweating like a Niagara Falls tourist and feeling miserable in my body, I became a certified health kinesiologist and health coach. I preached the gospel of nutrition and health like a seasoned pro, even working as a supplement rep. If you asked me, I was a holistic health guru.

But guess what? My weight was still playing hide and seek.


It wasn't until I waved goodbye to dieting, stopped exercising like a lunatic, and started tuning in to my body's signals that things changed. I began decoding its emotional messages and understanding why it clung to those extra kgs. I tackled the core wounds, made it feel safe again, and started shedding layers. Finally, I gained control of my weight., without having to diet or exercise madly or feel deprive and depressed. Just when I thought all hope was lost and I was doomed by my genes I was shown a different way, one that works because it addresses the root cause of my weight issues and not the symptom of excess weight.


Instead of pushing my body into places it didn't want to go, forcing it to eat things it hated, and ignoring its emotional needs, I became the body whisperer. I met my body where it was at, and that's when the real magic happened. To this day, I treat my body like royalty, giving it the TLC it craves, and in return, it treats me like a queen. I now have mad love for my body, and I'm forever grateful for the rollercoaster that brought me to this point.


I now embrace self-love and my quirks that make me uniquely me! No longer do I see self-love as arrogance but a necessary ingredient for my weight and my well-being. No longer is it necessary to stick to a diet that I can only HOPE my body will respond to whilst being miserable and feeling deprived.

I absolutely refuse to let anyone experience what I endured. I won't stand for anyone feeling helpless, lost, and shackled by their genetics and weight. I am on a mission for EVERY woman to understand that her body is her ally, not her enemy. It didn't betray her; she might have inadvertently mistreated it, but that can change. You hold the reins, queen. You have the power to rewrite your story.
